Holiday 2023 guide: Seasonal trends to build your marketing strategy

With the Holidays fast approaching, Ibotta surveyed 2,500 consumers and 400 industry experts to help inform strategies to best break through this Holiday season. This is a quick snapshot of this season’s trends.


• 42% of shoppers said that when they tried a brand for the first time, it was the result of a digital offer.

• 76% of shoppers stick to brands they like; 75% are willing to try a new brand at lower prices.

• 87% of shoppers feel that it’s important to save money due to rising grocery costs and inflation.

• 59% of marketers prioritize consumer consideration as the most important funnel priority as they shift into digital promotions (43%).

• 68% of shoppers use digital devices for their shopping journey; 70% prefer digital offers over paper coupons.

• 62% of shoppers are more likely to continue buying from a brand if they receive some sort of reward for being a customer.

• 59% of shoppers in the survey are likely to recommend a brand due to the impact of a digital offer.
